This T-6 Texan , along with the Sopwith Pup, actually belong to Bolling Heritage Center. The Texan is being re-furbished at the AMC Museum. The Texan was a trainer built during the WWII years by North American Aviation. By 1948, it was replaced by the last American piston engine plane, the T-28 Trojan .
This Texan was restored in the markings of the WW II Womens Airforce Service Pilot training school.
